School and Community
Hephzibah High School is the 4th largest high school by enrollment in the Richmond County School System (RCSS). When chartered by the Georgia Assembly in 1870, Brothersville became known as the city of Hephzibah. The school enjoys an even longer history – in 1860 it was chartered by local residents and is the second oldest high school in Richmond County. In 2016, Hephzibah High School began the transition to the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and completed the certification in 2019-2020.

Special Programs
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) comprises eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education for early adolescents: Language Acquisition, Language and Literature, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Physical and Health Education, and Design. Our CTAE pathways are Agriculture, Army JROTC, Automotive, Cosmetology, Financial Services, Welding/Sheetmetal. We offer the following AP Courses: Calculus, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, World History, US History, Government.
Class Rank & Grade Point Average
An official class rank is compiled for each cohort at the end of the year. Averages are carried out to three decimal places and final averages are not rounded. Student’s grade point average (GPA) is based on quality points. Regular high school courses are on a 4.0 scale and Ad vanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and Col lege/University courses are on a 5.0 scale awarded for each grade earned. High school student transcripts in clude the GPA, class rank, and numerical average.

The CCRPI assesses how well students are prepared for college and careers, and ensures that schools are focused on improving achievement among all students.
